Art Walk

Explore sculptures and murals by Black and Brown artists during Essence Fest 2023

Welcome to the virtual Helis Foundation Art Walk designed for Essence Fest participants — A guide to Black and Brown art works currently on view in the Arts District of New Orleans. Whether you’re a NOLA local keen to explore more of the city’s public art or a visitor to the city, a walking tour while enjoying the Fest is a great way to experience a small piece of our visual arts culture.

The Helis Foundation’s mission is to advance access to the arts in New Orleans, a city where arts and culture play a pivotal role in enriching the creativity and quality of life in our community. This Art Walk invites you to experience public art made by Black and Brown artists that recognizes their contributions, perspectives and experiences while participating in all Essence Fest has to offer!
