Courtesy of The Helis Foundation, Louisiana residents can enjoy free admission to the New Orleans Botanical Garden Saturday, October 31 through Sunday, November 1 to experience local artist Hugo Montero’s Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) altar inside The Helis Foundation Enrique Alférez Sculpture Garden. Day of the Dead altars have typical elements such as artificial skulls and marigold flowers that can be traced all the way back to Aztec times.
